  • Art Gallery of Greater Victoria - 1040 Moss Street, Victoria, BC V8V 4P1 
    The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria enjoys a stellar reputation both locally and globally. With a world-renowned Asian art collection and hundreds of works from some of Canada's most celebrated artists, you owe it to yourself to visit at least once. Current exhibits include a set of pop art displays from legendary creators like Andy Warhol and Banksy as well as Canadian contributors like Joan Balzar.   • The Avenue Gallery - 2184 Oak Bay Avenue, Victoria, BC V8R 1G3 
    The Avenue Gallery is an award-winning contemporary art exhibition space featuring work by well-known local artists like Corre Alice and Robert Wilman. Their collection includes paintings and sculptures in various media as well as more commercial items like carved wooden bowls, glasswork, and jewellery. New pieces arrive on a regular basis, and many are available for purchase by anyone who wants to brighten up their home or office space. The gallery even offers professional installation services and a 48-hour window for all pieces sold, making it easy for anyone to take home a piece of art they'll truly treasure. 

  • Studio 106 - 106 Superior Street, Victoria, BC V8V 1T1 
    Studio 106 is a small gallery and gift shop located just across the street from Fisherman's Wharf in the old brick Seaman's Institute building. Its halls contain nature-inspired works from more than a dozen artists from all over the country, including many that are up for sale in the gallery shop. Exhibits and shop stock change every two months or so, making this a fun spot for repeat visits throughout the year. Be sure to check out their massive collection of greeting cards printed with images of their artists' original paintings and sketches! 

  • Gallery Merrick - 1806 Government Street, Victoria, BC V8T 4N5 
    Gallery Merrick's exhibits feature contemporary artwork from talented creatives all over the world. You'll find everything from elegant oil paintings to bold wood-carved display pieces styled after traditional Indigenous iconography. Most pieces are for sale, and new ones are always arriving. Each month, the gallery holds a special two-week spotlight exhibition highlighting the work of one of their many partner artists. These events are great opportunities to study your favourite artist's work and maybe even pick up one of their pieces for your collection.  

  • Legacy Art Galleries - 630 Yates Street, Victoria, BC V8W 1K9 
    Legacy Art Galleries is a public art exhibition space run by the University of Victoria. The permanent collection encompasses more than 18,000 pieces of contemporary and historical art, with a particular focus on Indigenous artwork. In addition, the gallery also displays a limited-time special exhibit at each of its three locations. The downtown address listed here is currently hosting a selection of works by The Point Group, an artists' collective known for the distinctive modern art they contributed to the city's Point Gallery back in the 1960s.
