Peter grew up on Northern Vancouver Island and now lives in Cowichan Bay with his wife and three daughters. He has an extensive sales and marketing background including work with: CHEK TV, Home Tour TV, SHAW TV /Real Estate channel and overseeing sales for the “The New VI” & Island Radio.
During this time he fostered several long term relationships with business owners and managers. His creative approach to developing and implementing effective marketing plans combined with excellent negotiating skills were key to his successful and fulfilling career in advertising.
For the past four years Peter has been busy operating a Home Improvement & Renovation business serving homeowners throughout the Cowichan Valley. During this time he has gained firsthand experience in a variety of home improvement projects and developed an excellent network of trades people and specialty suppliers.
Peter is very excited to combine these experiences and bring his passion and enthusiasm to Real Estate. “This feels like a perfect next step and I look forward to working with and being of service to home buyers and sellers in the Cowichan Valley.”

Jayne Shaw
Jayne Shaw and her family have lived in almost every community that she serves - from the Malahat to Ladysmith and Lake Cowichan to Crofton and she has always considered the valley her home. She currently lives in Cobble Hill and does office duty out of the DFH Shawnigan Lake office, as well as being connected to our Cowichan Bay office.
While considering the Island her home, Jayne spent most of her childhood roaming North America. She was married 32 years ago in Chemainus and her and her husband lived on the top of the Malahat for quite a while in the early years. While their daughter attends Vancouver Island University, they have two very spoiled small dogs to keep them company.
They also spent a lot of time in and around Edmonton and Calgary, so Jayne definitely understands the lure of the Island to Albertans and indeed all Prairie dwellers. She has been back on the Island for seven years now and feels as though she have never been away.
We are pleased to have Jayne as part of the DFH team and greatly appreciate her experience and local knowledge.
Sue Lyle
Sue Lyle has more than 20 years of professional real estate experience in the Cowichan Valley. She began her real estate career in 1989, moved to the valley in 1991 and purchased the Shawnigan office building in 1992. For 9 years she was a partner in Shawnigan Mill Bay Realty but in 2000 she chose to join forces with DFH Real Estate. She was attracted by our commitment to integrity and ethical dealings, and our 50 year history in Victoria. Sue has been Managing Broker at DFH Real Estate Shawnigan since 2002.
